Andrea Bocelli. The velvet voice of the angels.

Andrea Bocelli sings Besame Mucho

Blinded at 12 by congenital glaucoma, Andrea has gone on to become a singer with an international following. When he sing, he smiles and you think the closed eyes are only because he is in rapture with some inner secret.

This piece starts out with a luscious Spanish guitar, backed by a small string orchestra and quiet drum.   Andrea’s velvet voice soars over it all as he sings, “Kiss me …. like this night is the very last time.”

Melt ……………….

Bésame Mucho” is a Spanish language song written in 1940 by Mexican songwriter Consuelo Velázquez.

Bésame Mucho

Bésame, bésame mucho
Como si fuera esta noche
La última vez

Bésame, bésame mucho
Que tengo miedo a perderte
Perderte después

Bésame, bésame mucho
Como si fuera esta noche
La última vez

Bésame, bésame mucho
Que tengo miedo a perderte
Perderte después

Quiero tenerte muy cerca
Mirarme en tus ojos
Verte junto a mi
Piensa que tal vez mañana
Yo ya estaré lejos
Muy lejos de ti

Bésame, bésame mucho
Como si fuera esta noche
La última vez

Bésame, bésame mucho
Que tengo miedo a perderte
Perderte después

Bésame, bésame mucho
Que tengo miedo a perderte
Perderte después

Que tengo miedo a perderte
Perderte después

Kiss me, kiss me a lot,
As if tonight was
the last time.
Kiss me, kiss me a lot,
Because I fear to lose you,
To lose you later on.

Kiss me, kiss me a lot,
As if tonight was
the last time.

Kiss me, kiss me a lot,
Because I fear to lose you,
To lose you later on.

I want to have you very close
To see myself in your eyes,
To see you next to me,
Think that perhaps tomorrow
I already will be far,
very far from you.

Kiss me, kiss me a lot,
As if tonight was
the last time.

Kiss me, kiss me a lot,
Because I fear to lose you,
To lose you later on.

Kiss me, kiss me a lot,
Because I fear to lose you,
To lose you again.

Because I fear to lose you,
To lose you later on.

  1. Excellent post!
Andrea Bocelli is so handsome! The energy that emanates from him.

“Kiss me, kiss me a lot,
    As if tonight was
    the last time”
In this translation I think it is better “were” than “was”:
“Kiss me me, kiss me a lot,
    As if tonight were
    the last time”

  2. I wouldn’t care if he sang from the phonebook as long as I could listen to it.
